Software for maths, peethas and ashrams

A math (a monastic seat) is rarely one institution. It is a main seat, branch maths, a pathashala, a goshala and an annadanam (free meals) kitchen — with land given by devotees over generations. SwaDharma keeps each of those apart in the records, and visible together to the administration.

What is math and ashram management software?

Math and ashram management software runs the property, kitchen and seva (offerings made in a devotee’s name) records of a math (also written mutt), peetha (the seat of a spiritual lineage) or ashram. On SwaDharma, DMS tracks donated and purchased land per trust or math entity; Inventory keeps the annadanam kitchen and goshala stores as separate units and records consumption meal by meal; Netra schedules perpetual sevas by tithi (lunar day) or nakshatra (birth star).

Where the records live today

What a math manages, where it usually sits, and where it goes

Most maths we meet have the information. It is spread across a branch office cupboard, a cook’s notebook and an old seva ledger.

Donated property

Know which land came from which devotee, and which entity holds it

DMS was built for Indian land records. Each property carries its survey number, village, taluk and district, its acquisition type and donor, and the documents that prove the chain. Reports filter by state, district and village, so a branch’s holdings can be pulled out in seconds.

  • RTC/Pahani, Khata, Encumbrance Certificate, sale deed, mutation copy and mother deed among 20 document types
  • Government guideline value alongside market value
  • Caretaker details with ID-proof expiry reminders
  • DMS in English, Hindi, Marathi and Kannada

One annadanam day

How the kitchen’s stock is accounted for, meal by meal

Annadanam is where a math’s stores move fastest and are checked least. This is what Inventory records on an ordinary day.

  1. Issue oldest stock first

The storekeeper issues rice and dal lot by lot, first-expiry-first-out. Lots past their expiry date are blocked from issue.

  2. One slip per meal

The kitchen supervisor records a consumption slip for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with each item and quantity used.

  3. Goshala stays separate

Feed and fodder for the goshala are issued from the Annadanam & Goshala unit; temple stores staff never see or move them.

  4. Month-end sheet

The monthly item-by-day sheet shows what the kitchen used on each day — the record the administrator and auditor actually read.

Can a math with several trusts keep their property records separate?

Yes. DMS records each property against its trust or math entity and shows dashboard summaries per entity, so branch maths and associated trusts stay distinct while the administration sees them together.

Does the software support an annadanam kitchen?

Yes. Inventory records daily consumption slips by meal — breakfast, lunch and dinner — issues stock oldest-lot-first, blocks expired lots and produces a monthly item-by-day sheet.

Can the goshala stores be kept apart from temple stores?

Yes. Inventory scopes access by unit, for example Main Temple versus Annadanam & Goshala, so staff only see and issue stock in the units they are assigned.

Which property documents can DMS hold?

DMS has 20 document types including RTC/Pahani, Khata, Encumbrance Certificate, sale deed, mutation copy, mother deed and AutoCAD/GPS files, each with an optional expiry date and permission-gated download.

Is there a module for disciples or shishyas?

There is no separate disciple module. Netra’s devotee register has 37 configurable fields, including gotra (family lineage), nakshatra and “in memory of”, which a math can use for its devotee and seva records.

Can perpetual sevas follow the math’s own Panchang?

Yes. Netra’s Shashvat Seva computes each year’s date by tithi or nakshatra from the Panchang the math uploads, not a generic calendar.

Bring us one branch’s property file

We load a handful of your parcels into DMS and one week of kitchen issues into Inventory, so the administration can judge it on the math’s own records.
